Practice · Concierge Counsel

One lawyer who knows the whole of your affairs.

The relationship

Concierge Counsel is a private legal relationship in which one trusted lawyer knows the whole of your affairs, handles what can be handled directly, and coordinates what cannot.

Most legal help is bought one matter at a time. You find a lawyer, explain everything from the beginning, resolve the issue, and start over the next time something comes up. For people whose business and personal affairs are intertwined, that is slow, expensive, and blind to the connections that matter most.

The alternative is a standing relationship with a single attorney who already understands your holdings, your business, and how a decision in one area moves the others. That extends to the financial strategy and structuring behind major decisions — how ownership, cash flow, control, and downside are actually allocated. I develop the strategy and carry out most of the work myself. When a specialist is needed, I retain and direct them; the judgment and responsibility remain mine.

Who it is for

Built for intertwined affairs.

Founders and business owners

Owners of established companies who want one lawyer thinking continuously about the business rather than a new one for each contract, dispute, or decision. The relationship keeps the legal side aligned with where the company is actually going.

Newly liquid and recently wealthy

People who have exited a business or otherwise come into significant wealth and want an advisor on their side of the table, focused on protecting what was earned and putting it to work well rather than simply processing paperwork.

Active investors

Individuals moving capital into new ventures and investments who want the terms, structure, and downside examined by someone who understands both the legal document and the financial reality underneath it.

Private clients with complex lives

Where business, family, and financial decisions overlap, a single counsel who holds the full picture is worth more than several who each see only a part of it.

Why me

The advantage is holding the whole picture.

My background is in scaling companies, complex finance, and technology as well as law. That means I read the numbers and the structure behind a legal question, not only the language, and I can see how a decision affects revenue, control, and downside across the whole of your affairs.

A relationship, not a series of transactions, is what lets that work. When one lawyer already knows the business and the holdings, small problems are handled before they grow, decisions get made quickly, and nothing falls into the gap between advisors who each see only their own piece.

I take pride in being responsive, discreet, and straightforward. The aim is to be the easiest and most valuable professional relationship you keep.

How the retainer works

Concierge Counsel is offered on a monthly retainer that reserves a place on a deliberately limited private-client roster and is applied toward the legal fees you incur that month. Where a matter suits a fixed fee or another arrangement, that can be agreed separately.

Direct access and discretion

You deal with me, not an intake queue or a rotating associate. The relationship is private, and routine communication is not turned into six-minute billable entries.

Coordination of your advisors

When a decision touches tax, investments, or another advisor's domain, I work directly with the people already advising you so the legal, financial, and business sides line up.

A deliberately small roster

The practice is kept small on purpose. A limited roster is what makes the responsiveness and the depth of understanding possible.

Common questions

What people ask first.

What is concierge counsel, and how is it different from hiring a lawyer for a single matter?

Concierge counsel is an ongoing relationship rather than a one-time engagement. Instead of explaining your situation from scratch to a new lawyer each time something arises, you have one attorney who already knows your business, your holdings, and how the pieces fit together. That context is the value: decisions get made faster, small issues are handled before they grow, and the advice accounts for the whole of your affairs rather than the single question in front of it.

Who is concierge counsel for?

It is built for people whose affairs are complex enough that piecemeal legal help is inefficient: founders and owners of established businesses, individuals who have recently come into wealth or exited a company, and private clients who want a single trusted advisor thinking about how to create, protect, and grow value rather than only answering the question asked. If your legal, business, and financial lives are intertwined, the relationship is designed for exactly that.

How does the monthly retainer work?

Where a matter is better suited to a fixed fee or another arrangement, that can be agreed separately. Routine communication is not turned into billable entries.

What kinds of matters does concierge counsel cover?

The range is intentionally broad because the point is to have one place to bring anything: reviewing and negotiating contracts, financial strategy and the structuring of ventures, investments, and transactions, handling a dispute, addressing data and technology questions, coordinating a private family or financial decision, and knowing when to bring in a specialist. What can be handled directly is handled directly; what cannot is coordinated, with the responsibility for the matter remaining in one place.

Do you coordinate with my accountant, wealth manager, or other advisors?

Yes. Part of the value of a single trusted lawyer is coordination. When a decision touches tax, investments, or another advisor's domain, I work directly with the people already advising you so the legal, financial, and business sides of a decision line up rather than pull against one another. When outside legal expertise is required, I retain and direct it, and the judgment and responsibility remain mine.

The value of one trusted lawyer is that nothing falls through the gaps.
